OKAPLY'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE TIMELY, INNOVATIVE AND STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS TO ITS CUSTOMERS
THROUGH THE MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTION OF PANEL COMPONENTS AND RELATED PRODUCTS

Okaply Industries was established in 1966 in Oka, Quebec, Canada by Ernest M. Hirscheimer. The company was one of the largest producers of pre-finished paneling in North America, supplying the retail market as well as manufacturers of Recreational Vehicles, Pre-fab Homes, and factory built structures.

In 1975 Okaply bought Panofab, a company that specialized in laminating all types of panels with papers and vinyls. Thereafter Okaply supplied industrial OEMs with laminated, and painted panels including manufacturers of furniture, displays, store fixtures and kitchen cabinets.

In 1990, Okaply purchased new equipment (including panel saws, edgebanders and machining centers) to produce components to better serve its customer base, and expand into new markets.

In the early 90's Okaply expanded its operation to include fabrication of contract furniture as well as specialty RTA furniture. The furniture division Northern Concepts sold to mass merchants like Costco, Walmart and Loews.
In 2000 Okaply expanded its commercial modular sales into South America servicing some of the largest mining infrastructure projects in Chile and Peru.

In 2008, the company redesigned its 100,000 square foot factory and warehouse in Oka to be able to produce and operate more efficiently and better service our clients.

In 2010 the company restructured its executive management team and ownership. The company made significant investments in technology in the factory to become more efficient.

In 2011 Okaply opened a new factory in Calgary Alberta to better service customers in western Canada and the United States.

In 2013 the company doubled the size of the facility in Calgary to accommodate the growing demand in the region.
