Okaply Industries ltd. announces the successful installation of their robotic panel feed system

Company president Craig Starke is pleased to announce the newest addition to our manufacturing facility. "This is a proud day for us all as this project has been in the works for over a year. The complexity of engineering a system that can handle our diverse offering of panel products was no small feat". "I have to hand it to our incredible team of engineers and mechanics, led by Michel Berthiaume, under the supervision of our vice president, Sergio Martins. The robot, respectfully named "Ernie" in honor of Okaply's founder, is capable of feeding the lamination line at very impressive speeds. Mr Martins added "I am confident that this system will improve efficiency, reduce waste, and most importantly, prevent possible injury to our employees, as lifting and flipping panels weighing up to 150lbs is difficult work."

Okaply Industries, announces the opening of a new factory in Calgary, Alberta to better serve their customers in Western Canada. Okaply has been in business for 46 years and services several markets including manufacturers of modular structures, and retail home centers.

Okaply announces the opening of its Western manufacturing facility

Company president Craig Starke confirmed the opening of the Western division. "We have all worked hard to become an important supplier to the mobile and modular industry out west" said Starke "The ability to produce and warehouse our products in Alberta will enable us to capture a larger share of the growth being experienced in the Western provinces". The plant will be strategically located in Calgary. "As we speak, our engineers are supervising the final testing of our newly customized lamination line and we anticipate full production to begin by November 30th."

Company President Craig Starke confirms a new financing agreement with Investissement Quebec. Starke said “these funds will support our efforts to further automate our factory through the addition of robots and new equipment with the goal of improving efficiencies and widening the scope of our product offering”.

Okaply announces the strategic relocation of its manufacturing facility

Okaply Industries has consolidated its operations under one roof in Oka Quebec. The company will now have its factory, warehouse and offices in one facility that is more than 100,000 sf. CEO Robert Hirscheimer says “the move will help the business operate more efficiently and allow us to better serve our customers”.
